DopaMINE 2025: DECODING INFLUENCE, EMPOWERING MINDS
The room pulsed with energy, anticipation, and purpose as 1DER Productions brought to life DopaMINE: Decoding the Pleasure Principle Behind Modern Consumerism last June 11, 2025, at PUP Claro M. Recto Hall. This groundbreaking initiative pulled back the curtain on the psychological triggers shaping consumer behavior—and invited the next generation of marketers to question, reflect, and rebuild with intention.
In a time where behavioral nudges, scarcity tactics, and dopamine-driven cues dominate our digital experiences, DopaMINE challenged participants to rethink the true power of marketing. With over 200+ students, educators, and professionals in attendance, the event sparked timely discussions on ethical persuasion, emotional influence, and the responsibility of marketing in shaping society.
The event’s keynote speaker, Ms. Ritz V. Bernardo, opened minds with her talk on The Influence of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) on Purchasing Decisions. She dissected how the fear of being left behind shapes consumer habits—especially in the digital age—and encouraged the audience to rethink how marketers use urgency, exclusivity, and peer pressure to spark impulse buying. Her insights left the crowd both intrigued and empowered, setting the tone for the rest of the event.
Beyond the talk, the spotlight turned to the bright minds behind three pre-event competitions:
- DopaMIND: The Mindful Marketing Revolution – An IMC competition where participants created value-driven campaigns grounded in psychological science and ethical responsibility.
- EPICXEL: Decoding Persuasion in Every Pixel – An infographic competition that translated complex behavioral concepts into visual, digestible, and ethical communication.
- MINDSCAPE: Escaping Hold, Spotting Nudges – A digital escape room challenge that pushed participants to decode marketing traps through teamwork and critical thinking.
Winners from each competition were recognized during the awarding ceremony, honoring not just skill and strategy but also empathy and ethics—a central theme of the event.
To keep the energy high, Ren Bugash, DIV9, and Movers & Motions graced the stage, electrifying the audience with their performances. In between segments, raffle games sponsored by brands like Vitabears and Doña Teresa kept participants engaged and rewarded.
Attendees were also welcomed to explore job opportunities from corporate partners like Sony Philippines, Atlanta Industries, SMI Philippines, and more, creating a holistic space that blended education, career building, and community connection.
