CONVERGENCE: FORMING A UNITY
To lead logically with a heart.
A simple but meaningful phrase that signifies the burning passion of the Adamson Computer Engineering Society. This year, this month, ACOES welcomes you to the annual outreach event entitled Convergence: Forming a Unity.
The Adamson Computer Engineering Society (ACOES) is one of the recognized student organizations (RSO) from the College of Engineering of Adamson University. Since the day it was founded, the organization has been driven in its quest to become exemplars of leadership, excellence, and service. To honor their vision, ACOES consistently enforces Vincentian values in their daily lives, finding ways to extend service to others, especially to the socially disadvantaged.
In line with this, ACOES has collaborated with the Adamson University Young Educators Association (AUYEA) to introduce to you Convergence: Forming a Unity – a three-week fundraising event, packed with a video podcast for its finale. The collected donations will be provided to #ProgramCOVID, Adamson University’s charity focused on providing necessities to the socially-disadvantaged and those adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In gratitude, donators will be given a certificate of appreciation for any and all donation amounts.
With its opening last September 15 (Wednesday), the donation drive is set to close by the end of October 10 (Sunday). The video podcast will be broadcasted live via Zoom and Facebook Live on October 1 (Friday) at 4-6:30 PM.
The livestream will feature an interview with accomplished and noteworthy persons affiliated with Adamson University, who will share their knowledge, advice, and techniques as experienced individuals. Fr. Marcelo V. Manimtim, Adamson University’s 6th President, will be interviewed on #ProgramCOVID and Team GiveSight, one of the Global finalists of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), European Space Agency (ESA), and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) global Earth Observation Dashboard Hackathon, on their experience and advice for aspiring hackathon teams. For Dr. Violeta Simbahan-Dulatre, Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) – DepEd Trainer, is an interview on the perspective and situation of our teachers, amidst the pandemic.
Through Convergence: Forming a Unity, let ACOES inspire and guide you in your venture to excellence and know that with even the smallest bits of change, you can alter the lives of those disadvantaged by the pandemic. Now is the time to form a unity and make a difference!
