BATANGAS STATE U TO HOLD WEBINAR ABOUT WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

The Batangas State University announced that it will hold a webinar about women empowerment in observance of National Women’s Month 2021.

Dubbed as “Kabayanihan ng Kababaihan: Pagkilala sa mga Juana sa Panahon ng Pandemya” the webinar will walk about gender issues and women’s role in the battle against Covid19.

“This forum will be conducted in line with the celebration of National Women’s Month 2021, with the theme “We Make Change Work for Women”. This year’s campaign is set in the COVID-19 pandemic backdrop, which posed both challenges and opportunities for women, aptly themed “Juana Laban sa Pandemya: Kaya!” BatStateU said on Facebook.

“Join us and be aware how women participate in battling the pandemic and what gender issues have emerged during this health crisis. Women frontliners will share their experiences, challenges, and ways forward in giving their contributions in this time of pandemic,” it added.

The panel discussants are Ms. Eva Palas-Morilla, a social welfare officer II, Ms. Kate Concepcion-Torio, the Chairperson of Department of Ophthalmology of Batangas Medical Center, and Ms. Lilian Austria Evangelio.
