Recently, Colourette turned into a hot trending topic on social media following CEO Nina Dizon’s savage replies to internet trolls, and her complete 180-degree turn around of hateful tag #boycottCOLOURETTEcosmetics.

In the wake of typhoon Ulysses’ devastation of many parts across Luzon, Nina was one of the many people asking #NasaanAngPangulo (“Where is the President?”) —something President Duterte’s supporters were quick to catch on and bash. After the tweet went viral, supporters of the president trended the boycott tag, urging each other to stop buying from the local brand.

In response, Nina transformed the hashtag and encouraged donation organizers to use it as a platform to share their initiatives. The tag trended the whole day, working more as an ingenious publicity move for both the brand and donation drives in need of the attention.

On top of this, Colourette successfully took the age-old saying “turn lemons into lemonade” to heart and pledged 100% of their Lazada and Shopee sales of cult-fave Colourtints to #UlyssesPH donations with no time constraint—just until stocks last. And it didn’t last very long as the drive opened on November 14, and as of November 16 10AM, the restocked collection is just 46 pieces away from being sold out.

A total of 5,764 units of Colourtints‘ best-selling shades were sold on both E-Commerce sites for P299 each for a 12ml tube of the multi-use oil-based tint. As with all of Colourette’s products, the Colourtint can be used on the eyes, cheeks, and lips with its easily blend-able and incredibly pigmented matte finish. A big selling point for it and the rest of the brand’s collections as well are its stunning shades (a total of 35)  suitable for all Filipino skin tones, something its team and CEO has advocated for from the get-go.

Two days after the announcement, the total amount of sales to be donated has exceeded P1.6 million.

Even before the project has officially closed, Colourette has also just announced its “Merch for a Cause” donation drive, releasing a special round of brand merchandise with 100% of sales to be donated as well to Ulysses relief operations from November 16-20. The collection includes Boss Babe jewelry pieces (in collaboration with jewelry brand Tala), apparel, masks, and posters.

Aside from these products, the local brand advocates for “Beauty in All Ways” with the rest of its stunning collection that includes multi-stain balm The Coloursnap (for cheeks, lips, and lids), Easy Matte lipsticks, Colourglaze lip glosses, and more.

The Coloursnap is a multi-use tinted balm that makes use of a versatile formula that leaves a subtle dewy finish. Now, with its new formulation, the well-loved balm has become more pigmented than ever, rich with castor oil to aid in soothing and protecting the lips from losing moisture.
