DBM: NO UNNECESSARY DELAY IN RELEASE OF 2024 PERFORMANCE BONUS FOR TEACHERS

/ 6 October 2026

THE DEPARTMENT of Budget and Management (DBM) on Monday assured public school teachers that there would be no unnecessary delay on its part in processing the Fiscal Year 2024 Performance-Based Bonus (PBB).

“We assure our beloved teachers that there will be no unnecessary delay on the part of the DBM,” the agency said in a statement issued on World Teachers’ Day.

The DBM said it will work closely with the Department of Education (DepEd) to facilitate the necessary budget release for the bonus at the soonest possible time.

Under Executive Order No. 61 and Technical Working Group Memorandum Circular No. 2026-1, the DepEd has 20 calendar days from receipt of the Final Eligibility Assessment Report to submit to the DBM its Form 1.0, or Report on Ranking of Offices/Delivery Units.

The report will identify the officials and employees eligible to receive the FY 2024 PBB.

Once it receives DepEd’s complete and accurate submission, the DBM said it will immediately review and process the necessary Special Allotment Release Order and Notice of Cash Allocation, in accordance with applicable rules and procedures.

“The PBB recognizes the work and performance of our teachers, who carry the enormous responsibility of educating the next generation of Filipinos,” the DBM said.

“To all our teachers, Happy World Teachers’ Day! Maraming salamat sa inyong sipag, malasakit, at walang sawang paglilingkod sa ating mga mag-aaral at sa bayan.”
