THE CALOOCAN City Government has provided a free review program for the University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) and other College Entrance Tests (CETs) to 150 students as part of its efforts to help more young residents pursue higher education.

The two-day review program was held on July 25 and 26 at the Bulwagang Katipunan in the South Caloocan City Hall.

Participants attended review sessions covering key subjects, including Filipino and English Language Proficiency, Mathematics, Science, and Reading Comprehension.

Students also took mock examinations before each lecture to assess their preparedness and familiarize themselves with the format and requirements of college entrance tests.

The review sessions were facilitated by University of the Philippines alumni and scholars who volunteered to share effective study techniques, test-taking strategies, and academic insights based on their own experiences.

Caloocan City Mayor Along Malapitan said the initiative reflects the city government’s commitment to supporting students in their pursuit of higher education.

“The City Government remains committed to investing in education by creating programs that prepare our students for the next stage of their academic journey,” Malapitan said.

The Free UPCAT and CETs Review Program is among the city’s education initiatives aimed at making quality academic support more accessible and increasing the chances of Caloocan students gaining admission to colleges and universities.
