DEPED TO FURTHER ADVANCE REFORMS AS ANGARA TOPS SURVEY

15 January 2026

THE DEPARTMENT of Education on Wednesday vowed to further advance reforms within the education sector, as Secretary Sonny Angara topped the Tangere satisfaction and trust survey.

Based on the non-commissioned survey, Angara ranked highest among President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s Cabinet members with 52.71 percent satisfaction rating and 53.95 percent trust rating.

In a statement, DepEd Media Relations chief Dennis Legaspi said the survey’s results reflect the efforts of those behind the education sector.

This result is the fruit of the united efforts of over a million DepEd personnel, including almost 900,000 teachers nationwide who daily serve our learners),” he said.

This is a significant reflection of the Filipinos’ sentiments and a reminder that although we have accomplished much under the guidance of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., we still have a long way to go),” he said.

Besides continuity of reforms, Legaspi assured the DepEd will remain open to suggestions and criticism to further enhance the quality of Philippine education.

The Tangere satisfaction and trust survey was conducted among 1,600 respondents from Jan. 7 to 10. (PNA)
