THE PROVINCIAL School Board of Catanduanes convened on Monday to evaluate and endorse the proposed 2026 Annual Investment Program under the Special Education Fund (SEF), the Catanduanes Public Information Office reported.

Governor Patrick Alain T. Azanza emphasized the need for all programs and projects to strictly comply with updated national guidelines on SEF utilization.

These guidelines cover key areas such as the operation and maintenance of public schools, construction and repair of school buildings, procurement of learning materials and equipment, educational research, sports development, and initiatives on Early Childhood Care and Development.

According to the Catanduanes PIO, the Board also discussed priorities including school building construction and rehabilitation, facility upgrades, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) programs, and other essential education-support measures aimed at ensuring safe and conducive learning environments.

Funding proposals for Scouting activities, PTA-led initiatives, campus journalism, and major athletic events—including the Palarong Panlalawigan, Palarong Bicol, and Palarong Pambansa—were likewise reviewed.
