LGU PARTNERS WITH PRIVATE SECTOR FOR FUNDED MILK FEEDING PROGRAM IN 467 DAYCARE CENTERS

/ 3 November 2025

THE CITY Government of Manila has partnered with the private sector to implement the Funded Milk Feeding Program, a major initiative aimed at supporting both child nutrition and local agriculture.

Under the program, the city will purchase milk directly from local farmers and producers and distribute it to 467 daycare centers across Manila.

The initiative seeks to ensure that young children receive nutritious milk while boosting the livelihood of dairy farmers and strengthening the local milk industry.

“This is a step toward building a healthier generation and a stronger agricultural sector,” the city government said in a statement, underscoring its commitment to providing opportunities and hope for local farmers and producers.

Similar to events such as the Mindanao Fruits and Food Festival held at the Kartilya ng Katipunan, the milk feeding initiative underscores Manila’s broader goal of empowering homegrown industries and fostering collaboration between government and private stakeholders.

City officials assured that the local government will continue to support programs that uplift communities, improve nutrition, and stimulate sustainable growth in the agricultural sector.
