MSU MAIN CAMPUS CONFIRMS BUILDINGS SAFE, STABLE AFTER MINDANAO QUAKE
THE MINDANAO State University Main Campus in Marawi City has confirmed that all its buildings remain safe and structurally stable following the magnitude 7.6 earthquake that struck off the coast of Davao Oriental early Friday morning.
The tremor was felt across large parts of Mindanao, including Marawi City.
In an official advisory, the MSU administration assured the community that initial inspections found no new structural damage to campus buildings.
“Initial inspections confirm that MSU Main Campus buildings remain safe and stable, with no new structural damage reported,” the statement read.
“The PDO and PPD continue precautionary checks to ensure everyone’s safety. Please stay calm, alert, and mindful of possible aftershocks,” it added.
The University also urged members of the MSU community to remain calm and vigilant for possible aftershocks and to follow official safety advisories.
