CAAP LAUNCHES ADVANCED MASTERS IN AVIATION SAFETY MANAGEMENT
THE CIVIL Aviation Authority of the Philippines, in partnership with the French aviation institution École Nationale de l’Aviation Civile and with the support of Airbus through the ENAC Foundation, officially opened the third batch of the Advanced Masters in Aviation Safety Management program on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the CAAP Civil Aviation Training Center in Pasay City.
The program aims to cultivate highly skilled aviation professionals capable of leading safety and regulatory initiatives to ensure a safer and more efficient air transport system in the country.
This initiative supports the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Acting Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez to strengthen aviation safety and promote the professional development of aviation leaders, in line with international standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and in support of its Next Generation of Aviation Professionals initiative.
Facilitated by internationally recognized experts and specialists selected by ENAC, the program brings together 22 participants—14 from CAAP and 8 from other local aviation sectors—encouraging collaboration among a diverse and representative group within the Philippine air transport industry.
Designed as a part-time program, it features an intensive five-day module every month for 12 months, followed by six months dedicated to thesis preparation and defense.
CAAP Director General, retired Lt. Gen. Raul Del Rosario, said the program underscores the agency’s commitment to advancing safety oversight and leadership in aviation.
“Aviation safety is not a static goal but a living commitment that demands vigilance, foresight, and leadership,” Lt. Gen. Del Rosario said.
The AMASM program is part of CAAP’s ongoing international collaboration to align Philippine aviation with global benchmarks and position the country as a regional leader in aviation safety management.
