/ 30 August 2025

THREE graduate of the University of San Carlos participated in the Twin College Envoys Program at Chiba University, Japan, from July to August 2025.

Supported by the Japan Student Services Organization, the program gathered young leaders from ASEAN countries for academic, cultural, and professional exchange.

The USC delegation included Argie Anthony C. Inciso, Cristobal A. Rabuya Jr., and Maricon dela Vega Laplana, representing advanced programs in curriculum, research, and science education.

Participants attended online sessions on Sustainable Development Goal 11 prior to their travel, followed by the 27th International Research Presentation Conference, where each student presented research on curriculum integration, generative AI, and science teaching.

Cultural and industry immersion formed part of the experience, including visits to the National Museum of Japanese History, Sakura Village, and ZOZO, Inc., led by Chiba University faculty.

As part of their JASSO lab work, Inciso and Rabuya explored Japanese mathematics education, while Laplana conducted advanced biology research involving molecular techniques under expert mentorship.

“The TWINCLE Program was more than a study tour, it was a transformative journey that enriched academic expertise, fostered cross-cultural understanding, and strengthened international partnerships,” USC said in a statement.
