SCHOOL CLINICS NOW LINKED TO PHILHEALTH UNDER EXPANDED CLASS+ PROGRAM
THE DEPARTMENT of Education has partnered with the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) to strengthen primary health care services in schools through the launch of the Clinics for Learners’ Access to School Health Services Plus (CLASS+) program.
Under a Memorandum of Understanding between DepEd and PhilHealth, school clinics are now authorized to connect students to Konsulta, PhilHealth’s dedicated primary care package.
Through CLASS+, students will have access to a range of health services, including:
Free medical consultations
Preventive check-ups
On-site diagnostic services
Referrals to partner hospitals
DepEd will also spearhead efforts to register students in the PhilHealth database.
This data integration will help develop a comprehensive School Health Package tailored to students’ medical needs.
