THE DEPARTMENT of Education is calling on teachers, parents, and school communities to prepare for the upcoming opening of classes on June 16, 2025.

“Paghandaan na po natin ang pagbukas ng klase. Ang kailangan po ng mga eskwelahan ay ang inyong tulong,” said Education Secretary Sonny Angara.

Angara emphasized that unity and cooperation—or bayanihan—will be key to ensuring a smooth and successful start to School Year 2025–2026.

Earlier, Angara also called for more volunteers to participate in this year’s Brigada Eskwela, the department’s annual campaign that brings together public and private sector partners to help prepare schools for the start of classes.

He said the spirit of volunteerism and shared responsibility is essential in creating safe, clean, and learner-friendly school environments across the country.
