SUC GRADUATES NOW MORE IN-DEMAND DUE TO FREE COLLEGE LAW
FORMER senator and independent senatorial candidate Bam Aquino highlighted the growing demand for graduates of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), crediting the Free College Law he championed during his Senate term.
“Since the law was passed, employers have been actively seeking graduates from state universities,” Aquino said.
“They’re no longer just looking for those from Ateneo, La Salle, UP, or UST — now, they’re also looking for youth coming from our SUCs,” he added.
Aquino emphasized that the Free College Law has helped level the playing field for students from public institutions, making them more competitive in the job market.
He also expressed full support for establishing a campus of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) in Pakil, Laguna.
Aquino pledged to help local leaders realize this goal should he return to the Senate, saying that a PUP campus in Pakil would significantly expand access to higher education for students in Laguna’s Fourth District.
