DLSU SHS LEARNERS WIN BIG IN WORLD EDUCATIONAL ROBOT CONTEST

SENIOR high school students from De La Salle University emerged victorious in the recently concluded World Educational Robot Contest held in Shanghai, China.

STEM learners Aaron Chua, Cedric Addison Tan, and Enzo Joaquim Petrache clinched the championship in the High School category, outperforming teams from various countries.

Meanwhile, Anthony Sebastian Chu secured 1st Place in the Philippine Ranking of this prestigious competition.

“Your triumph is a testament to your dedication and excellence. Congratulations once again and thank you for making us proud!” the school expressed in a Facebook post.

Founded and organized by the World Educational Robotics Society (WERS), WER is often regarded as the Olympics of the educational robotics industry. It caters to participants aged 3 to 18, as well as secondary vocational students, higher vocational students, and college students.

This globally recognized event challenges young innovators to design, program, and compete with robots to solve real-world problems. Annually, more than 1,000,000 contestants from 50 countries and regions participate, making WER a premier platform for showcasing intelligence and technological achievements.

This year’s competition theme encouraged participants to demonstrate creativity, critical thinking, and technical expertise, fostering the next generation of STEM leaders.
