CMU HOSTS INDONESIAN VISITING PROFESSOR FOR SOCIOLOGY PROGRAM
CENTRAL Mindanao University welcomed Dr. Ni Wayan Kasni, a professor from Universitas Warmadewa in Indonesia, for a 16-month tenure as a visiting professor.
An expert in Bahasa language and cultural studies, Dr. Kasni is teaching Bahasa courses for CMU’s AB Sociology program, providing students the opportunity to learn Indonesian language and culture.
Dr. Raquelyn Dadang, Director of CMU’s International Relations Office, shared that Kasni’s presence enriches the program by fostering cross-cultural experiences and global dialogue.
The collaboration was formalized through a memorandum of agreement between CMU and Universitas Warmadewa to promote cultural exchange and academic excellence.
Dr. Dadang also revealed plans to renew the partnership from 2025 to 2027, further strengthening ties between the two institutions.
This partnership advances the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Quality Education, Reduced Inequalities, and Global Partnerships.
