/ 23 November 2024

STUDENTS from Ateneo secured first runner-up honors in the Technology Category of the 2024 Best Business Idea and Development Award, recently held in Marikina City.

Fourth-year BS Information Technology Entrepreneurship majors Samantha Mae See, Stephanie Dee Rayco, and Wolverix Skyler Yu were recognized for their project, “Swift Coaching.”

“Swift Coaching is an AI-powered platform that offers real-time, personalized coaching for Filipino call center agents. Through emotional recognition and context-aware guidance, the platform enhances agent call handling time and overall customer satisfaction,” said Ateneo.

“While committed to driving innovation, the founders prioritize the responsible use of AI to ensure ethical standards are upheld while serving society effectively,” the statement added.

The John Gokongwei School of Management has already implemented a working pilot for various administrative concerns using an early version of Swift Coaching’s platform.

The team received a plaque, a cash prize, and support from the Ateneo Business Insights Laboratory for Development. They were mentored by Program Director Joseph Benjamin Ilagan.

The BIDA Award, organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) since 2007, promotes entrepreneurship, creativity, and nationalism among Filipino youth.

PCCI also offered Swift Coaching incubation and accelerator opportunities to further develop the startup and its potential contributions to economic sustainability and growth.
