EDUCATION Secretary Sonny Angara expressed optimism about utilizing AI to enhance the quality of education during the AI Horizons PH 2024: Conference on AI-Powered Research and Innovation.

This was his message during keynote speech on the conference held last Thursday (24 Oct 2024) at the University of the Philippines Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

He shared the Department of Education’s vision in piloting classrooms of the future.

To help achieve this vision, Angara emphasized the need for DepEd to procure and deploy 47,000 e-learning carts, connect 2,000 schools to the electricity grid, and upgrade the electrical infrastructure in approximately 40,000 schools.

He also highlighted the ongoing collaboration between DepEd and educational partners in promoting the use of technology in learning.
