/ 27 September 2024

EDUCATION Secretary Sonny Angara is exploring a partnership with the Animation Council of the Philippines, Inc. to enhance learning delivery through animation in basic education.

On Wednesday, Angara met with ACPI to discuss the potential collaboration, according to the Department of Education.

ACPI highlighted that exposure to animation could boost engagement, retention, and creativity in both students and adults.

Angara welcomed ACPI’s insights and recommendations to assist DepEd in developing learning materials and enhancing the role of animation in the Arts and Design track of Senior High School.

Additionally, the DepEd chief met with the Executive Team of LABX Asia and LiFe Team to discuss providing free primary healthcare to public school children, teachers, and staff.

LABX is an accredited primary care network administrator and Konsulta provider under PhilHealth, delivering comprehensive care through its hybrid healthcare platform, LIFE.

During the meeting, Angara stressed the importance of the health program, particularly for island and mountain schools, to prevent learning disruptions caused by health issues.
