SENATOR Christopher ‘Bong’ Go highlighted the transformative power of sports in fostering unity, camaraderie, and discipline among the youth.

“Sports is not just a physical activity. It is an essential part of our culture that teaches us discipline and teamwork,” Go said.

“As your senator, one of my advocacies is to enhance support for sports because I believe this is the way to empower our youth,” he added.

Go, chair of the Senate Sports committee, reiterated his advocacy for strengthening sports programs as a crucial deterrent against harmful vices.

“Get into sports, stay away from drugs to keep us healthy and fit,” he advised, positioning sports as a cornerstone for healthy living and community development.

He proudly shared his legislative efforts as a lawmaker, notably the enactment of Republic Act No. 11470, which established the National Academy of Sports in New Clark City.

This academy offers state-of-the-art facilities and an integrated curriculum aimed at nurturing student-athletes.

Go is one of the authors and co-sponsors of the law.

“This institution is dedicated to providing our student-athletes with top-notch facilities and a curriculum that integrates academic excellence with sports training,” he noted.
