THE University of Rizal System has inked a pact with three Taiwanese universities, during URS’ visit in the country.

URS said the university signed a memorandum of agreement with the National Changhua University of Education, National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, and the Kaohsiung Medical University.

A total of nine delegates from URS visited the country, including Dr. Marites Rio, the Vice President for Research Development, Extension, and Production.

“These MOUs aim to promote international research and extension collaboration and academic exchange,” URS said on its website.

“This stride also serves as another venue for international partnerships between URS and institutions abroad, paving the way for joint research projects, faculty collaboration, and student mobility programs,” it added.

URS said that the four-day visit not only resulted in the MoUs but also gave ample insight regarding community research and extension services to the delegates.

The partnerships also enhance URS’ global standing and will help provide diverse learning opportunities, which will allow for more future partnerships.
