T.I.P. GETS ASEAN AUN-QA ACCREDITATION FOR ITS 4 DEGREE PROGRAMS
FOUR degree programs of the Technological Institute of the Philippines were accredited by the Association of the Southeast Asian Nations University Network-Quality Assurance.
These are BS in Industrial Engineering, BS in Information Technology, BS in Electronics Engineering, and BS in Computer Science.
The accreditation placed the programs at par with the education standards set by quality universities in ASEAN.
“The AUN-QA assessment of TIP programs is part of our longstanding commitment to high quality and best value education, and to ensure that we are measuring up to international standards,” TIP president Dr. Elizabeth Quirino-Lahoz said in a statement.
To date, a total of 12 academic programs of TIP have been accredited by AUN-QA.
The AUN-QA assessment at the program level (version 4) covers eight criteria including expected Learning Outcomes; Program Structure and Content; Teaching and Learning Approach; Student Assessment; Academic Staff; Student Support Services; Facilities and Infrastructure and Output and Outcomes.
AUN-QA coordinates activities to harmonize educational standards for the continuous improvement of universities in ASEAN.
