THE DEPARTMENT of Education is considering making blended learning a permanent mode of instruction in basic education, Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio said.

“As part of the transition to in-person classes, blended learning shall still be implemented and we are continuing to study the implementation of blended learning as a permanent mode of instruction for basic education,โ€ she said.

โ€œHowever, come November 2, the full implementation of five days in-person classes is expected as well for all public and private schools,โ€ she added.

Classes in public schools will start on Monday, August 22.

The first two weeks of classes will focus on psychosocial activities, DepEd said.

If a student tests positive for Covid19, blended learning shall be implemented.
