AMINADO si Senate President Vicente ‘Tito’ Sotto III na mahalaga ang boto ng Quezon City sa kandidatura ng kahit sinong politiko dahil isa ito sa largest voting cities sa bansa.

Ang pahayag ni Sotto ay kasunod ng pag-endorso sa kanya ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Quezon City sa pangunguna nina Mayor Joy Belmonte at Vice Mayor Gian Carlo Sotto.

“It (Quezon City) is one of the largest voting cities when it comes to voting population. It is one of the largest cities. And then malaking bagay sa akin kasi ang pakiramdam ko dito ako nagsimula, dito nagsimula ang politika ko. Dito ako napasok sa politika so a full endorsement of the entire leadership of Quezon City is more than enough to inspire me,” pahayag ni Sotto sa ambush interview ng Senate media.

Kasabay nito, sinabi ni Sotto na umaasa rin siya na sa mga susunod na araw ay ieendorso rin ng Quezon City si Partido Reporma standard-bearer Panfilo Lacson.

“I’m very sure that Senator Lacson is one of the (candidates) being considered by the leadership of Quezon City,” dagdag ni Sotto.

“Oo malaki ang pag-asa, nauna lang ako, ako naman kasi ang tagarito,” giit pa ng senador.

Ipinaliwanag naman ni Belmonte na sa ngayon ay hindi pa nagkakasundo ang mga miyembro ng Serbisyo Para sa Bayan kaugnay sa ieendorsong presidential candidate subalit unanimous pagdating kay Sotto.

“Because Senate President Sotto was a unanimous choice of the members of my local party, ‘yung Serbisyo Para sa Bayan Party. So when it came to discussing presidents, hindi kami nagkasundo ng members of the party and I’m not an authoritarian leader,” pahayag ni Belmonte.

Sa ngayon, sinabi ni Belmonte na bukas ang lungsod para sa lahat ng kandidato upang malaman ng mga constituent ang mga plataporma ng lahat.
