FORMER FEU’S ATHLETICS MANAGER JOCELYN DE LEON PASS AWAY AT 61
Retired UAAP Board of Managing Directors member, Jocelyn de Leon of the Far Eastern University passed away due to cardiac arrest.
At the age of 61, De Leon joined the creator last Sunday morning.
De Leon served the Morayta-based squad for 28 years representing FEU in the UAAP and retired in 2019.
It was also during 2019 that she was honored by the UAAP because of her servitude to the league.
“I was just enjoying my job since 1991, kahit noon na hindi pa gaano sa television ang UAAP. ‘Yung experience, dealing with different board members of the other schools… Na-enjoy ko yung trabaho,” De Leon said during the ceremony.
While FEU athletic director Mark Molina said De Leon is not only serving the FEU community but also a mother figure for every student-athletes.
“Siya ay isang nanay sa mga student-athletes namin. Lalu na sa mga kailangan nila sa dorm,” said basketball program head Robert Flores.
De Leon was also said to be a covid positive and was cremated on the same day of her death.
