Tambiz 2020 Virtual Awards is the culminating activity of the business planning course under the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program of Far Eastern University Manila. This event highlights the awards  received by the students for their respective business planning group output.

The Tambiz website was launched last November 24, designed to host the Online Exposition held from November 26 to 28, 2020. Tambiz Online Expo featured the virtual exhibits of eighteen business plan groups. This virtual exhibit is featured under the Expo page of the Tambiz website with the title 2020 Challengers. Each Challenger has one exhibit page dedicated to their company and product.

The page also contains web links to social media accounts and videos of product demonstration and elevator pitch. There were eight Expo Jurors invited to judge each group using the online expo score sheet from each page visited. At the close of the virtual exhibit, scores have been tallied to determine the total scores of each group that were considered part of the student’s final grades in the business planning course. From the results of the Online Expo, the winners of the special awards were determined, namely Student Innovation Award, Sustainability Award, Best Virtual Exhibit Award, Best Elevator Pitch, and Best in Product Demonstration.

After this, the Virtual Oral Defense, held last December 6, 2020 then completed the component of final grading for individual students, where the Department of Business Administration invited industry practitioners and entrepreneurs to comprise the panel of judges for the oral defense. With the combined results of the Online Expo and Virtual Oral Defense, the top three business plan groups were determined.

The Tambiz Virtual Awards is set to recognize the top 3 business plan groups and the winners of special awards. There are also two side events, the “Creative Design Competition”, that showcased creative designs for headdress and facemask using recycled materials, and the “Most Celebrated Filipiniana Competition” that was joined by students wearing Barong Tagalog for the gentlemen and the Traje deMestiza for the ladies. Several performances by the IABF SC Powerband and Dance Crew shall be seen during the event.

The Tambiz Virtual Awards premiered at 1pm of December 11, 2020 on the Facebook page of the Institute of Accounts, Business and Finance Student Council.
