Rookies Bella Belen and Alyssa Solomon announced their arrivals for the Lady Bulldogs with 14 points off 13 kills and one block, and 15 points from 11 attacks, three blocks, and one ace, respectively.

Returning captain Cess Robles had an all-around effort of 12 points, eight digs, and five receptions, while Camilla Lamina put up 15 excellent sets.

Masaya kami dahil nakuha namin yung unang panalo pero marami pa kaming kailangan ayusin, marami pa yung kailangan naming i-improve so mahabang season,” said head coach Karl Dimaculangan.

Unang una okay naman yung pinerform nila [rookies], pero half kasi nung nasa first six halos rookie talaga e. So, inexpect ko naman na makakapagperform sila nang maayos, malaking bagay na pero yun nga yung improvement pa rin kasi first official game ko rin na kasama sila.” he added.

After an impressive start in the opening frame, the Lady Bulldogs put up a comeback in Set 2 as Adamson took an early lead but Belen and Robles rallied on back-to-back points to close the set.

NU carried the momentum in the third set, leaning on Adamson’s hitting errors as well as attacks from Belen to build a 23-16 advantage.

Lorene Toring paced Adamson with eight markers while Amonte, Rizza Cruz, May Ann Nuique, and Aliah Marce each added five points.
