House Bill 10624 aims to enhance the city’s sports facilities and provide better training grounds for the city’s athletic youngsters.

The measure mandates the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) to coordinate for the necessary training programs, competitions, facilities, equipment, and personnel.

To further improve the city’s athletic youth, the bill seeks to provide proper equipment, a better venue for training, and suitable training programs.

Dy noted that aside from athletic and civic benefits, the Sports Academy will help increase the economic activity in Cauayan City.

The solon added that employment and business opportunities under tourism, construction, and food sectors are also expected to bloom.
