T1 SECURES UPPER BRACKET; FNATIC AT LOWER BRACKET
Southeast Asian Dota2 teams T1 and Fnatic have made it past the group stage and are set to continue their The International 10 dream at different brackets.
This came after T1 seeded at the top four of Group A and was able to secure an upper bracket slot.
The team’s placement was decided after a North American duel between Undying and Evil Geniuses resulted in a draw, giving T1 the leverage to clock at a 10-6 Win-Loss record and avoid a three-way tie-breaker with OG.
Fnatic, on the other hand, finished the group at 7th place, after garnering one win, four draws, and three losses.
T1 will face Group B top seed, and Chinese top dogs PSG. LGD at the Upper Bracket Round 1.
Fnatic, on the other hand, will face Undying at the Lower Bracket Round 1.
The P2 billion tournament has a total of five Filipino players currently competing to get immortalized at the Aegis of Champions.
They are Karl ‘Karl’ Baldovino and Carlo ‘Ku’ Palad from T1, Djardel ‘Dj’ Mampusti and Marc Polo Luis ‘Raven Fausto from Fnatic, and Abed ‘Abed’ Yusop from Evil Geniuses.
