The future standout for the Philippine national team has reportedly received an offer again, this time from the school who served former NBA MVP Charles Barkley.

“I am humbled and honored to receive an offer from Coach Pearl and the entire Auburn family. All glory to God,” Tolentino expressed.

The said university is an NCAA Division I team and ranked 20th in the United States last season before the season was halted due to the pandemic as it went 12-6 in SEC and 25-6 overall.

Aside from Barkley, the school also produced Chuck Person who played 14 seasons in the NBA and was named 1987 NBA Rookie of the Year.

Person is also one of the people who developed the Filipino basketball sensation which is currently taking flight to the G-League, Kai Sotto.

This is not the first offer that reached the big man Tolentino but also Kentucky, Kansas, and Tennessee State are tapping the young standout.

Currently, the 16-year-old Tolentino is in Cincinnati, Ohio with former FEU player Cholo Anonuevo as the two are making their way to their basketball dreams.

Tolentino started making noise as he helped the Maryknoll Spartans win back-to-back State championships.
