PPGL PRESENTS 2021 VALORANT CHALLENGERS
The Philippine Pro Gaming League (PPGL) is set to kick off the year with official tournaments for Valorant and Mobile Legends: Wild Rift.
As the Filipino gamer community continued to grow, these tournaments will provide them the stage for them to be able to bring their game to the international stage.
“We are excited to develop new gaming talent in the Philippines,” said Mineski Philippines country manager Mark Navarro in a statement.
“As the largest multi-game esports league in the country, we invite all gamers to find their home in the PPGL. In the years to come, we want to take pride in having one of our homegrown talents win it all in the international scene,” he continued.
In partnership with Mineski Phillippines and Globe Telecom, PPGL will be running the 2021 Valorant Challengers, a national qualifying window for Filipino gamers to the Southeast Asia Valorant Masters.
The 2021 Challengers will be divided into three splits with each split running three tournaments for six weeks alternating between three open qualifiers and three challenger tournaments.
In accordance with the pandemic safety measures, the first split will be an all-online tournament.
A total of 1.5 million prize pool are put up by PPGL for the Valorant Challengers for the whole year.
Only two teams from the Philippines will advance to Masters to represent the country against other regions—Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore.
Registration is free which runs from January 20 to 24 for the first competition.
More details about the Challengers are posted on the official social media page of PPGL.
On the other hand, League of Legends: Wild Rift tournament will run on a future date and details will be announced by PPGL.
