Not exactly new to the world of sports, OPPO’s partnership with Mineski Philippines marks its first esports gaming in the country.

“Locally this is our first major esports partnership for OPPO. And together we believe that through OPPO smartphone innovations and Mineski’s authority in the gaming space, we will be able to have growth in the esports industry,” Chiqui Tapawan, OPPO brand Manager shared.

With 74% Philippine mobile gamers, OPPO launches its latest smartphones OPPO A92 and Reno5 4G and 5G in support of the heightening esports industry.

“OPPO is fully committed to support the growing Esports industry by providing both pro-gamers and amateur gamers with the best gaming platforms and mobile phones that can provide them excellent mobile gaming experience,” mentioned OPPO Philippines Marketing Director Raymond Xia.

Reno 5 and A-series, both phone series, bring high-performance technology specifically for gamers in an improved and immersive gaming experience. In addition, Reno5 is equipped with a Bullet screen message, an in-game message notification, and Gamer Mode for uninterrupted online play.

For a smoother gaming experience, OPPO also added features such as Gaming Shortcut Mode—a one-tap feature to navigate back to the game—and Adjustable gaming touch that sets the fluidity and responsiveness of the gamer.

“Both smartphones are really designed based on what the consumer looked for and the kind of lifestyle they lived. I think Oppo smartphones are the kind to provide the full entertainment experience and that includes gaming,” Tapawan added highlighting the two products.

Gearing up with Mineski, the global smartphone expands its sports and entertainment offering bundles of activities for 2021.

Brought by the Chinese game developer Moonton, Mobile Legends Professional MPL Season 7 will commence in April until June followed by Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup (MSC). MPL Season 8 is scheduled to kick off from July until November and World Champions in December.

For League of Legends: Wild Drift, the Icon Series presented by Philippine Pro Gaming League (PPGL) will launch in March. Wild drift season is done into two splits—Summer and Fall. Each split will have an open qualifier from N. Luzon, S. Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao. Summer split will launch from April to June while fall split from July until September. By December, fall season playoffs and the Supercup will take place.

Mineski Philippines country manager Mark Navarro revealed that the frequency of the gamer is the key to raising local mobile gaming on a global scale.

“We do have to keep on offering these grassroots level, international level competitions so that we can continue to evolve the draft and we build our own local meta that can compete at the worldwide level,” Navarro expressed.

OPPO also welcomed gaming influencers – Eric Tai and Gloco Gaming, game streamers – Ashley Gosiengfiao, and the Professional Wild drift team – Liyab the newest OPPO gaming ambassadors.

With a lot of innovations to introduce for the year 2021, OPPO sponsors Liyab Esports and Mineski’s Youth Esports program, National Interschool Cyber League.
