The OB Neon squad shared on all their social media pages that the team has undergone a revamp while tapping the services of the International 2 champion and Dota legend coach Chuan.

The Philippine-based squad failed to make it to the international after falling short against Singapore which was followed by the other former players leaving the team.

Erin Jasper “Yopaj” Ferre, Rolen Andrei “ctm” Ong, and John Anthony “Natsumi” Vargas all left the team.

Skem and Yopaj joined BOOM Esports – an Indonesian-based team while Natsumi reunited with Boomy and other former Adroit players joined Polaris Esports.

Meanwhile, OB Neon introduced a non-Filipino squad with former South Built Esports carry Jinn Marrey “Palos” Lamatao and offlaner Michael Roi “Enryu” Ladines, Indonesian midlaner Tri Daya “Mamang Daya” Pamungkas, and support Yukatheo Glen “you_K” Widjaja, and Mongolian support Ravdan “Hustla” Narmandakh.

And Jaunuel “Jaunuel” Arcilla will be the team’s substitute.

“While I understand that many of you may be upset with the departure of these players, I assure you that we have done everything we can to build a team as competitive as it was last season. It is still our objective to attend Majors and ultimately The International 2022,” said Robert Campbell, OB.Neon’s CEO, in the announcement.

Currently, the squad is competing in the BTS Pro Series 9: Southeast Asia with the guidance of coach ChuaN who had the first coaching gig after being away a few years back in the competition.
