JULES MONTES TURNS PRO, SIGNS WITH PERLAS SPIKERS
Former Lady Eagle Jules Montes will start her professional career and will debut under the banner of the Perlas Spikers.
A month after Samonte publicly bid farewell to the Lady Eagles, the Perlas Spiker revealed the deal on social media.
“This is her next. Welcome to the Perlas Spikers, Jules Samonte,” the team posted.
“Your fire and passion will surely bring so much energy to the team. Thank you for embarking on this (volleyball) journey with us. Your coaches and teammates are excited to work with you.”
And to welcome the new addition to the team, the squad posted a TikTok video of Samonte joining her new teammates Nicole Tiamzon, Mich Morente, Jho Maraguinot, Roma Doromal, Heather Guino-o, and Cherilyn Sindayen on a beach.
Samonte will also join fellow Ateneo products Jem Ferrer, Jhoana Maraguinot, and Mich Morente.
She is expected add more firepower to the squad after its 1-8 win-loss campaign in the Open Conference.
The 22-year old Samonte was the UAAP Season 79 Rookie of the Year and won one title with the Lady Eagles in Season 81.
