EXECRATION CROWNED AS MSC CHAMPIONS, DEFEATED BLACKLIST IN ALL-FILIPINO FINALS CLASH

Execration got back with their Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League finals loss as they ruled out Blacklist International to emerge as champions in the Southeast Asia Cup this year (MSC 2021) Sunday evening.

It was a sweet retaliation for Execration as they defeated Blacklist International in the all-Filipino showdown, 4-1, becoming the second Filipino team to win the MSC title after Aether Main (now Bren Esports) in 2018.

Duane “Kelra” Pillas’ Chang’e unleashed massive damage in Game Five, finishing with fifteen kills and five assists against only two deaths.

Blacklist prevailed over the low-scoring Game One as they saw the squad absorbing a 9,000 gold advantage, with Danerie James “Wise” Del Rosario’s Brody starring in the match.

Come Game Two, Execration shocked the MPL champs, dealing them their first game loss throughout the series to even with Blacklist, 1-1.

Execration quickly returned the favor by chipping in a 16-3 barrage in Gane Two behind Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog’s Mathilda who ended with a game-high 14 assist in the 12:50-minute game.

Blacklist lead for most of Game Three even taking down most of Execrations’s towers but the MPL runner-ups pulled off a comeback, which saw a tight 21-19 win in 19 minutes and eight seconds.

Renz “Renzio” Errol Cadua’s Benedetta highlighted the match with five kills, two deaths, and eight assists.

Blacklist led Game Four behind a feeding Diggie strategy of Jonmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna but with the initiation of Kelra’s Lunox in midway saw the Execration squad winning a team fight that capped off a wipeout in the 22:34-minute match

Execration swung the momentum in their favor in Game Five behind Kelra’s Chang’e that proved too painful for Blacklist International’s heroes in team fights, to bag the championship title.

Kelra was hailed as MSC 2021’s most valuable player (MVP) with his superb gameplays as mage heroes—Harith, Kagura, and the game-winning Chang’e.

The LuponWxC-backed squad only lost one series in the entire tournament that plunged them to the lower bracket after losing to EVOS Legends in their upper bracket opener.

As the 2021 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup titleholder, Execration will bring home a total of $70,000 in the prize pool.
