THE Biliran Province State University has inked a partnership with the Department of Education Biliran Division and the Provincial Government of Biliran to strengthen support for athletes from Biliran.

The Memorandum of Agreement was signed on April 1 at the Governor’s Office, Capitol Building.

According to BiPSU, it will provide technical assistance to athletes, including coaching support during concentration periods held every weekend from March to May 2024.

It is in preparation for the upcoming Eastern Visayas Regional Athletic Association Meet in Ormoc City from May 5 to 10.

BiPSU will also open its facilities, including the oval, Student Center, and Gymnasium, to Biliran EVRAA qualifier athletes for training sessions during the concentration period.

With an eye on the program’s influence on upcoming sporting events, Governor Gerard Roger Espina indicated his willingness to provide athletic scholarships to assist talented athletes in their academic endeavors.
