Just a few days ago, UP was in dispute with the possibility of Lina being able to play for Season 83 as he was a late enrollee.

The 19-year-old sealed the deal and decided to suit up for the Diliman squad on Monday with Coach Perasol and team manager Agaton Uvero.

According to the team manager Uver that even though Lina will have to sit out for his first year in UP, he will still be a great asset to the team.

“He’s a young man with great fighting attitude and potential,” he shared.

The 6-foot-5 forward was a former member of the Gilas Pilipinas Youth team and cousin of former King Tiger and current NorthPort gunner Kevin Ferrer.

During his high school career, he averaged 16.6 points, 10.9 points, and 2.1 assists to help the Tiger Cubs in their title bid.

This young man will reunite with CJ Cansino who was also his teammate during his playing-career in UST Juniors.

As Lina chose to go for a new beginning, many of his friends and acquaintances greeted him in his twitter account twitting, “New chapter,” with 2 fist-symbol of UP.

And now it’s final, he is the latest player to leave the lair of the Tigers, following the stride of Cansino, Brent Paraiso, Rhenz Abando, Ira Bataller, Jun Asuncion, Mark Nonoy, and Deo Cuajao.
