BASKETBALL AND VOLLEYBALL STARS JUMPS TO MOBILE LEGENDS WITH SMARTS’ OMEGA CROSSOVER

SMART Omega Esports, our MPL-Philippines runner-up, will launch Omega Crossover inviting 12 basketball and volleyball athletes to play a series of exhibition Mobile Legends: Bang Bang games coming this December 14 to 16.

The expo, dubbed as Omega Crossover, invited 12 basketball and volleyball known athletes which is a quest to see that anyone can be a gamer themselves.

Among the sports personalities that will be playing in the friendly competition includes collegiate basketball standouts Dave Ildefonso and SJ Belangel of Ateneo, Shaun Ildefonso and Chino Mosqueda of National University, Kevin Quiambao and Emman Galman of La Salle and Kemark Cariño and Joshua Tagala of San Beda.

Also, PLDT Home Fibr’s John Vic De Guzman, Mark Alfafara, Joshua Umandal, and Richard Solis won’t be missing the challenge.

“We want showcase that everyone can be a gamer no matter what sport you play. We also want to show how mobile gaming can bring everyone together,” Omega team manager Miko Cuartero shared.

Representing Omega are Adrian “Toshi” Bacallo, Jeniel “Haze” Bata-anon, Earvin “Heath” Esperanza, Salic “Hadjizy” Imam, Jankurt “KurTzy” Matira, Kenneth “Kenji” Villa, Steven “Daledalus” Vitug, and Anthony “Otit” Senedrin.

The three-day event will be shown live on Omega Esports’ official Facebook page, with games scheduled at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Then, on its last day, December 16, the showpiece will be aired in Omega’s state-of-the-art hub in Quezon City.

The proceedings of the game will consist of teams being picked at a random consisting of two Omega players, two basketball stars, and a volleyball standout.

Smart Omega Esports, which will be heading in the MLBB World Championship (M2) next month in Singapore, will serve this exhibition as a refresher before their training as well as for the Omega squad which is currently in the middle of their campaign in The Nationals Season Two.
