Head coach Jong Uichico shared during a Zoom press conference that only Bulanadi suffered an injury while others are in near perfect shape.

“Generally we have some pains, that’s normal after a long layoff but we have to fight through it,” said Uichico.

According to Uichico, aside from Bulanadi the rest of the team are healthy and is near perfect condition.

“We’re generally good except for Allyn who got injured in the first or second day of practice, apart from him, we’re all okay and healthy,” he continued.

“Allyn got injured during the second or third day of practice. Okay naman. Aside from him, he is okay,” Uichico affirmed.

With less than a month to prepare, the squad was encouraged to fight through the pain and have enough rest.

“We have no time to complain about our little hurts because it’s normal and we have to fight through it,” Uichico stated.

“Generally, so far, the players have been taking care of themselves, resting when they need to rest so they’re ready for the twice-a-day practices.”

Bulanadi was a key player for the team for the second window of the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers which their first game is scheduled on Nov. 26 against Thailand and Nov. 28 against Korea.

Despite the accident, Bulanadi will still remain in Gilas’ training session to help the team.
