Letters of Youth

PLAYTIME

/ 10 April 2021

I once played with a little boy

He grabbed my hands and made me touch his toy

I tried to run away

But he pulled me down, told me to stay

Tiny little fingers

Every touch lingers

His smile told me to enjoy

I was a Barbie doll to this boy

He told me to come and play

Everything echoes at the end of the day

Dark little showers getting bigger

Every minute I feel myself getting smaller

His hands start to grip stronger

My little voice gets weaker

His mouth starts to explore

Everything hurts but he wants more

I don’t want to play anymore with a little boy

I keep trying to keep the monsters at bay

They look at me, getting larger

I fall asleep, my whole body is sore
