THE DEPARTMENT of Education and the provincial government of Cotabato conducted a two-day seminar in Kidapawan City to encourage the youth to stay away from illegal drugs.

The DepEd Schools Division Office of Cotabato, led by Schools Division Superintendent Romelito Flores, carried out the Training of Trainers on Life Skills Enhancement for Personnel in Substance Abuse Prevention Program.

The seminar, part of Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio’s priorities, aims to educate participants on the bad effects of illegal drugs and methods to prevent substance abuse.

The event is a collaboration between SDO Cotabato and the Cotabato Integrated Provincial Health Office.

“Umaasa ang DepEd na tuluyang maipapaabot ang mahahalagang impormasyon sa mga kabataang nagmula sa iba’t ibang pampublikong paraalan ng probinsya,” the LGU said in a post.
