SDO ZAMBALES BOOSTS PROTECTION OF STUDENTS

TO BOLSTER the protection of children from cyber violence and abuse, the Department of Education partnered with various organizations, including Save the Children Foundation.

The Schools Division Office in Zambales signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the SCF, Stairway Foundation, Action Inc. and Preda Foundation to intensify their efforts to advance the social, moral, intellectual and physical well-being of students.

“We are thankful to our partners who took part in the expansion of the child protection program,” Zambales Schools Division Office Superintendent Romeo Alip said.

Stairway Foundation child protection specialist Ysrael Diloy also lauded the partnership.

“We are very happy with our partnership, specifically yung gusto naming dalhin is our years of experience working with the education sector in the areas of child protection,” Diloy said.

Preda Foundation President Francisco Bermido Jr. said they can train SDO Zambales duty bearers, teachers and guidance counselors to help abused children.

“We are always open to accepting children for residential care,” Bermido said.
