PROGRAM TO KICK OFF OPENING OF CLASSES IN REGION 2
THE DEPARTMENT of Education in Region 2 will kick-off the opening of classes on October 5 with a program to champion partnership initiatives and highlight the triumph of Filipino learners.
The program shall be aired on RBC Cable Network and Radyo Pilipinas DWPE at 6 a.m. and will be shown on the regional and school division office’s Facebook pages.
The Philippine Information Agency also committed to post the program on its Facebook page.
Regional Director Estela Leon-Cariňo said that the program took its cue from one of the statements of Education Secretary Leonor Magtolis-Briones that the opening of classes on October 5 will be a day of victory.
The program shall highlight the role of learners, parents, school leaders, school and barangay officials, the local government units, and other partners who helped in the preparations for school year 2020-2021.
“The kick-off ceremony is about telling the nation how powerful love and unity can be. It will send the very strong, unequivocal message that even in the face of a pandemic, education can continue because the whole village is coming together in the name of the learner,” Cariňo said.
She said that the region intensified its public affairs, communication and information campaign to ensure that all issues and concerns on the opening of classes will be properly addressed.
