NORTHERN SAMAR LGU BACKS DEPED LITERACY PROGRAM
THE PROVINCIAL government of Northern Samar allocated P5 million for the literacy program of the Department of Education.
DepEd Northern Samar Schools Division Superintendent Gaudencio Aljibe Jr. thanked the provincial government for its support.
“The provincial government is always supporting our endeavors. You have provided us moral anchor that help us keep going, inspiring us to continue and make innovations to provide quality education to our learners,” he said during the launching of the SANA ALL Readers Project.
He thanked Governor Edwin Ongchuan for allotting P5 million under the Special Education Fund to pay the honorarium of the Learning Support Aides who will help implement the project.
The SANA ALL Readers Project aims to develop children who are literate, love reading and are equipped with the skills to face the demands of the future.
To promote a culture of reading in the community and guarantee that every child in Northern Samar becomes literate, the LSAs assist teachers and learners, plan and deliver various learning modalities, monitor and track learners’ progress and achievement.
