NEW CLASSROOM BUILDING BUILT AT PONONG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
A NEW classroom building has been constructed at Ponong Elementary School in Camarines Sur to improve the learning environment for the growing student population.
The Department of Public Works and Highways, through the Camarines Sur 3rd District Engineering Office, recently completed the project.
Cherrymae Arco, a teacher at the school, expressed that the new building would be a huge help to the students.
According to the DPWH, the single-storey building, with a total floor area of 155.25 square meters, includes two classrooms designed to provide essential space and comfort.
Additionally, the building ensures that students stay safe and dry during the rainy season, which often disrupts classes.
“This new building will greatly help us because we lack classrooms at Ponong Integrated School, which accommodates students from kindergarten to grade 12. We even use makeshift rooms to accommodate additional students. This new building is a significant benefit for us because a conducive learning environment is crucial for the students to perform well,” Arco said.
