MORE HVAC TRAINING CENTERS LAUNCHED IN ILOILO AND MISAMIS ORIENTAL

/ 17 June 2022

THE TECHNICAL Education and Skills Development Authority and Daikin Philippines added more heating, ventilation and air condition (HVAC) training centers in Iloilo and Misamis Oriental.

Tesda Secretary Isidro Lapeña and Daikin Philippines President Takayoshi Miki led the launch of the two additional Tesda-Daikin HVAC Training Centers in Iloilo and Misamis Oriental on June 7 and 9, respectively.

Lapeña emphasized that the new training centers will provide higher level and industry-driven HVAC training programs for the residents of Regions VI and X.

“With the support of Daikin Industries – the world’s leading manufacturer of air conditioners – we will be able to increase our capacity to produce industry-ready individuals to help raise the economic growth in the country by providing competent skilled workers responsive to the industry,” Lapeña said.

The new HVAC training centers were part of the agreement signed by the skills agency and Daikin on July 2021 that aims to strengthen the HVAC sector in the country.

Daikin will help TESDA establish HVAC Training Centers in different parts of the country.
