MARAWI STUDENTS GIVEN FOOD PACKS BY BANGSAMORO
A TOTAL of 5,000 Marawi students received food packages from the Bangsamoro Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education as part of its campaign to encourage learning among the youth.
The food packs that contained 25 kilos of rice were handed to the parents of the learners at the Amai and Educational Pakpak Central Elementary School.
The BMBHTE said that the program is part of its Marawi Response, Recovery and Rehabilitation Program Fund for School Feeding Program Expansion.
The school-based feeding program was modified and delivered via rationing because of the quarantine restrictions.
“The School-Based Feeding Program was formulated to address hunger and encourage learners to enroll, contribute to the improvement of their nutritional status, provide nourishment for their growth and development and help boost their immune system, and enhance and improve their health and nutrition values,” it added.
