THE KABATAAN Partylist sought donations for the victims of tropical depression ‘Vicky’ in Mindanao.

“Tulong Kabataan is now calling again for donations, this time for typhoon-stricken areas in Mindanao. Thoughts and prayers for our kababayans at ingat po sa lahat ng #RescuePH frontliners,” the group said on Facebook.

Cash donations will be used to buy relief goods for residents in Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Agusan del Norte, among others through the “Tulong Kabataan” relief and rehabilitation initiative.

Donations in kind will also be accepted.

The Cagayan State University — Carig Campus is also calling for donations for ‘Vicky’ victims.

The university said that it is time to repay the goodness the Cagayanos received when they were devastated by typhoon ‘Ulysses’ last month.

“It is six days before Christmas, and it is very disheartening that our brothers and sisters in Mindanao are now in anguish due to flooding and landslides caused by Tropical Depression Vicky,” CSU-Carig said on Facebook.

“It is in this light that we are again knocking at your kind and generous hearts for cash donations. This time let us show our fellow Filipinos in Timog that we are with them. Let us unite to help them rise and still feel the spirit of Christmas and face 2021 with optimism and hope,” it added.
