THE FACILITIES of former Cittadini school has been turned over to Department of Education-7 for occupancy of students from City Central Elementary School and Calindagan Elementary School.

Dumaguete City Mayor Felipe Remollo handed over the symbolic key to DepEd -7 Regional Director Dr. Salustiano Jimenez in a ceremony held on June 6.

City officials, barangay captains, and representatives of DepEd -Division of Dumaguete City were present during the turnover ceremony.

According to Philippine Information Agency, the City Government of Dumaguete acquired the property from the Somascan Sisters who agreed to sell the school to the city government for P175 million.

Mayor Remollo assured the school facilities will be ready for transfer of students before the start of classes in July this year.
